Resident Influence Strategy consultation

Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation for our new Resident Influence Strategy 2026–2029. Your feedback has been invaluable, and more than 1,000 residents helped shape the final themes.

What you told us

Residents said they want:

  • to be listened to
  • to see action based on their feedback, and
  • to be kept informed about what has changed.

You also told us communication needs to be clearer, involvement opportunities easier to access, and barriers to taking part reduced. Many people also asked for better recognition for volunteers.

Our key themes

Your feedback has shaped the five themes of the strategy:

  1. Listening to Residents
  2. Acting on Resident Feedback
  3. Communicating Clearly and Effectively
  4. Ensuring Accessibility and Inclusion
  5. Recognising and Supporting Resident Volunteers

A cross‑cutting theme, Improving Services, runs through everything.

What happens next

We’re now working with the Resident Influence Panel to create a detailed action plan. We will share regular updates so you can see how your feedback is making a difference.
